We has predicted the box office figures for the top five kollywood films in terms of gross and now Vishwaroopam's box office numbers made into the Top five Kollywood gross. Here is the Top five kollywood gross numbers as of today (25 Feb 2013)....
1) Endhiran:
By all statistics, Endhiran ranks No.1 in Box office. The total gross revenue of the movie was expected to be around 280-300 crores . Sun Pictures has officially announced this in their year end report.
Budget: 150 crores(Rajini's salary + budget)
Gross:300crores
Nett:250crores
Share:172crores
Total profit= (Share- budget) + Satellite rights = 22 + 40 =62 crores
2) Vishwaroopam:
As of now Vishwaroopam is number two at the all-time box office in Kollywood. The total estimated gross revenue of its life time is expected be around 175-180crores.
Budget: 95 crores
Gross: 180 crores
Nett: 125 crores
Share : 100 crores
Total profit = (Share- budget) + Satellite rights = 5+ 20 = 25 crores.
3) Sivaji:
As per our estimates Sivaji should have grossed around 130 crores. It has to be recalled that Rajinikanth in an interview had revealed that when the discussion of producing Endhiran has been going on, KalanithiMaran had asked Rajini to wait for some days since he wanted to collect the area wise box office report of Sivaji. Maran came to a conclusion to produce Endhiran with a whopping 132 crores budget based on the report. This is also an indication that Sivaji’s gross will be about 130 crores.

Profit: 10 + 15 = 25 crores
4) Thuppakki:
As of now Thuppakki has grossed 100 crores and by our estimate it will end up with 115 crores. The total share amount for Thuppakki will be around 80 crores and it will find its place on an all time number three in Box Office.

5) 7aam Arivu/ Dasavatharam/ Nanban :
It can be said that all the three films have sailed in the same boat. More or less, all these three films have grossed about 90-95 crores. The Nett amount is expected to be around 60-65 crores and the film’s budget was also more or less the same. Hence all the three films should have made only return on investment. As there has been a very minor difference between all three films’ Gross, it is very difficult to rank them.
